Staff didn’t like presenting with slideshows

UFCU partners with universities and local organizations by sending staff to present on financial education.

However, engaging students was hard. Heads were down, phones were out, and staff didn’t feel good presenting with basic PowerPoints.

Cashy changed that. Once staff saw how fun and interactive the sessions were and how students got engaged, they wanted to present more and more.

The Cashy experience has made more people present than ever before. I went from 0 to 25 volunteers in a year. People see how engaging it is and actually want to volunteer.”

After a Cashy session, staff walks out energized and excited to do it again.

Cashy saved a university partnership

College students are one of the hardest groups to engage, and UFCU’s PowerPoints weren’t landing. Students were bored and disconnected.

“The university told us they were going to find another partner, but then we brought in Cashy. It got students out of their seats! And we saved the partnership.”
— Olivia Hayden

Cashy turned things around for UFCU. Students started cheering and UFCU's feedback surveys showed higher numbers than ever before.

Here's a real-life video of UFCU's Business Development team's credit presentation with Cashy.

Standing out in new markets

When UFCU opened a new branch in Manor, Texas, a small community outsideof Austin, they wanted to show they were different.

Most financial institutions show up with brochures or slideshows. UFCU showed up with Cashy, and the interactive experience instantly stood out.

“We wanted to show how UFCU is different from other financial institutions, so we played Cashy with the mayor. Now, he can’t stop talking about it! If that's not a ringing endorsement, I don't know what is.”
— Olivia Hayden

The buzz from that session helped strengthen relationships and now the mayor wants UFCU to expand even more by bringing Cashy into the school district.

Engaging every age group

Cashy works for teens, college athletes, parents, community members, and even older adults who usually tune out financial presentations.

UFCU's team simply adjusts the discussion around the game based on the audience — the gameplay is universal.

“We’ve used Cashy with all ages, I’ve never had an adult say it felt dumbed down. People just love games.
— Olivia Hayden

That universal engagement makes Cashy easy to use across branches, outreach events, campus programs, and partner organizations.
